(August 29, 2010) – Andy Mai of Suffield, Conn., and Kelly Whaley of Farmington, Conn., were crowned champions at the 2010 Jack Kelly PGA Junior Tournament of Champions, the Connecticut Section PGA Junior Golf TOUR Championship on Sunday at Fox Hopyard Golf Club. Mai posted a score of five under- par 66, a bogie free round with five birdies, good enough for a four shot margin of victory over Anthony Vecchiarelli of Agawam, Mass and Jeffrey Realejo of Portland, Conn. |

| STONINGTON, Conn. – Fran Marrello, PGA Professional from Canaan Country Club and Ted Perez, PGA Professional from East Mountain Country Club (Mass.) fired even par 72’s today at Stonington Country Club in Stonington, Conn., to lead the 59th Senior Connecticut PGA Championship. Finishing the day one shot back with one over-par 73’s were Tony Kelley, PGA Professional from Wyckoff Country Club, John Paesani, PGA Professional from Norwich Golf Course and Mike Carney, PGA Professional from Watertown Golf Club. Defending champion, Jack McConachie, PGA Professional from Pine Valley Golf Course shot two over-par 74 and is two shots back. |

(August 25, 2010) – Kevin Giancola, the director of instruction at the Golf Quest Family Sports Center, shot 71 today, his third consecutive round under par at the storied Robert Trent Jones Sr. course at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, to complete his wire to wire victory in the 79th Connecticut PGA Championship. Giancola’s 7-under par 209 total was five shots clear of Evergreene Golf Center’s Frank Leja Jr. (72-214), the only other of the 88 PGA Professionals competing to break par for the 54-hole championship. |
