78th Annual Fall Meeting

The 2011 Annual Fall Meeting will be held on Monday, November 21, at MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Section PGA members and PGA registered apprentices are invited to attend. Attendance at the meeting will earn PGA members six (6) Member Service Requirement (MSR) credits towards their PGA of America 54 credit requirement (12 for meeting attendance, 12 for education) for the current cycle that ends June 30, 2014. At the discretion of the presiding officer, an executive session can be called during the meeting where only PGA voting members are permitted to participate.

 

There is no charge to attend the Annual Fall Meeting. However, so that we can make adequate preparations for breakfast, lunch, and seating, reservations must be made online no later than Wednesday, November 16.

 

Registration will open at 9:00 AM, and the meeting will be called to order promptly at 10:00 AM. Section policy requires that all attendees “check in” and “check out” of the meeting. Any member leaving prior to the adjournment of the meeting will not be awarded the MSR credit. Minutes from the Spring Membership Meeting will be are available at the meeting. 
  
Dress code for the day will be jacket & tie for male professionals; business attire for female professionals.
 
The Section Officers, Committee Chairs, and Executive Director will deliver the Annual Report of all matters to the membership at the meeting. Refer to the Agenda to see what matters are to be addressed and when elections are to take place.
 
Elections shall take place for two positions as Director on the Board of Directors. In addition to those who have been officially nominated, further nominations may be made from the floor before voting takes place. The two directors shall be elected according to Article X, Section 4.(a) of the Section Constitution & Bylaws.
 
All subjects, other than those on the agenda, must be presented a proposed resolution on a New Business Form 15 days prior to the meeting to be taken up at the following Spring meeting.
 
Or, other New Business may be a proposed resolution to amend the Section Tournament Rules & Regulations that can be presented by a member in the same fashion. This resolution can be seconded, discussed, and voted on at the present meeting.
 
Good & Welfare is anything a member feels would be beneficial for the membership in terms of good will. Under this informal session of the business meeting, any member may make comments or suggestions. There is no discussion on these matters.
