The Assistants’ Association is a subsidiary of the section and its mission is to create an environment, through education and training, which shall improve the skill level and effectiveness of assistant professionals in their career pursuits of obtaining head golf professional positions.
The Assistant's Association holds spring and fall annual meetings. The tournament schedule is open to Class A-8 PGA members and eligibly employed PGA Registered Apprentices and Section Pre-Apprentices.
An annual Assistant's Association Membership Fee (AAMF) of $35 is required to play in the series of four Individual Pro events, but is not required to play in the Pro-Pro tournaments or the Assistant Championship.
The tournament schedule begins with a blind draw Pro-Pro held in conjuction with the Spring Meeting and concludes with a Pro-Pro following the Fall Meeting.
Any Assistants’ Association member that wants to have voting rights at the Spring and Fall Meetings must submit a request in writing to the Secretary by July 1.
