Paladino And Rainaud Fire 69’s To Lead The Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship

NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. (September 7, 2010) – Brent Paladino, Timberlin Golf Club and Adam Rainaud of the Orchards Golf Club shot first round scores of three-under-par 69 to lead the Connecticut Section Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship. Paladino made five birdies and only two bogies at Lakes of Isles South Course and Rainaud made four birdies and one bogey. Paladino and Rainaud lead the rest of the field by two shots going into tomorrow’s final round. In second place alone with a one-under-par 71 is Kyle Bilodeau, The Hartford Golf Club. Brian Keiser, Wethersfield Country Club made seven birdies en route to an ever par round and fourth place alone.

 

The Champion will be presented with the Joe Lynch Trophy. The low three (3) professionals properly entered into the National Assistant Championship qualify for the Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship to be held November 11-14, 2010, at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The field will include 120 players and a $100,000 prize purse. Connecticut Section Pre-Apprentices are not eligible to qualify for the Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Professional Championship.
